Great Country Farms — Tulip Days

The farm's first-ever pick-your-own tulip experience: a scenic wagon ride out to the blooming fields, an introduction from the farming team, and the chance to dig your own bulb straight from the soil. Fresh-cut stems available by the bunch to mix and match.

Hope Flower Farm & Winery — Tulip Days

An annual tulip-festival weekend at this 25-acre working flower farm and winery. Tulip bunches for sale with or without bulbs, food trucks, live entertainment, and the on-site winery pouring wine and hard cider.

Burnside Farms — Festival of Spring

"Holland in Virginia" — the largest tulip bloom in the state, with more than 200 tulip varieties and 30+ daffodil varieties across 20 acres. One of the longest-running spring flower festivals of its kind in North America, running since 2012.

Timed-entry tickets are online-only, no gate sales. Bloom season typically lasts about three weeks but shifts with the weather — check their Field Report before driving out.

Cherry Blossoms & Spring Blooms

You don't have to fight Tidal Basin crowds — the region's parks and gardens have their own quieter cherry blossom spots, blooming right alongside redbuds, azaleas, and Virginia bluebells.

Meadowlark Botanical Gardens — Cherry Walk

Over 100 cherry trees across more than twenty varieties, spread through 95 acres of walking trails, lakes, and gazebos — plus the only public Korean Bell Garden in the Western Hemisphere.

Morven Park — Spring Grounds & Blossoms

Cherry and other flowering trees across the historic 1,000-acre estate surrounding the Davis Mansion — scenic trails and open landscapes make for an easy, uncrowded spring walk.

Green Spring Gardens — Spring Blooms

A lesser-known spot for cherry trees and spring color, with an 18th-century historic home to tour, a children's garden, and an indoor library and gift shop.

George Mason University — Mason Pond Cherry Trees

A pretty collection of Yoshino cherry trees near the pond on the Fairfax campus. Free 30-minute parking spots sit right next to the trees on Mason Pond Drive, or use the paid deck for a longer visit.
